Liposuction

After experiencing success with diet and exercise, liposuction can help you achieve your final and desired body shape. Liposuction slims and reshapes specific areas of the body by removing excess fat deposits that have not responded to diet or exercise. Through small, inconspicuous incisions, fat is loosened and suctioned out of the body with a surgical vacuum or syringe. While helpful to attain your desired body image, liposuction is not a treatment for obesity, or an effective substitute for proper weight loss and management. Liposuction also will not treat cellulite or loose or saggy skin.

After the procedure, you will notice immediate results. You will experience a rest period of one to three weeks while your body recovers from any bruising or fluid retention. Full recovery can take up to several months. Through aging you will lose some firmness over time, but you should experience long lasting improvement with the maintenance of stable weight and general fitness. Dr. Atchison will provide all of the details necessary to determine if this procedure is right for you.
